Rocksbox- First Box Review

If you’ve noticed, I’m not usually wearing any kind of jewelry. The truth is, I like jewelry, but I’m not good at knowing which styles work for me. So when Rocksbox reached out to me, I thought it would be interesting to take it for a spin. Rocksbox is a monthly jewelry subscription box that comes with 3 pieces of quality jewelry from brands like Gorjana, House of Harlow 1960, Kendra Scott, and more for $19 a month (use the code Skirtsofurbanxoxo to get your first month FREE, but use it quick, the code only lasts 30 days!).

So how it works is:

When you sign up on you take a survey so the people at Rocksbox can get a feel for your style and send you pieces you would like. You can wear the pieces for as long as you would like, and when you want to receive new jewelry you just send back whatever pieces you don’t want to keep in the prepaid packaging and they’ll send you your next box. In the Rocksbox comes a little pamphlet and you can rate the pieces in your box (if you love it, like it, or not my style, and you can leave a comment on each piece), you can also circle “buy it” next to a piece you wish to buy and there will be a discounted price that you’ll purchase the piece for, for being a member of Rocksbox, and you keep the item, and you’ll be charged for the item(s) you chose to keep, when you send the pamphlet back! Don’t like any of the pieces? Don’t worry, just send back all the pieces and you’ll receive your new box.

For me, why I like this subscription box is because jewelry kind of scares me and I have a hard time committing to buying jewelry. But by using this subscription box, I can try new pieces and see what pieces fit my style without having to buy and commit to a piece.

You can also wish list items on the site that you would like to receive in your future Rocksbox!boxx

First of all, ADORABLE packaging.

I also love how personalized they make the box.

Jenny Bird- Palm Rope Necklace in Turquoise (Retail: $85; Rocksbox: $68)

This was the first piece I opened in my Rocksbox. Although I would say this isn’t my style, it’s fun to try pieces on that I wouldn’t usually go for and see how they would work. necklace 2 necklace 3 necklace 4

House of Harlow 1960- Pave Travel Triangle Pendant in Gold (Retail: $58; Rocksbox: $46) pendant 1 pendant 3

At first glance I wasn’t crazy about this necklace and then I realized it was actually reversible and I loved it. I love the back, plain black side of the necklace because it’s simple but has just enough edge to it, and it’s a great layering piece.

Gorjana- Taner Charm Bracelet in Gold (Retail: $45; Rocksbox: $36)

This piece was my absolute favorite from the box. I love how dainty and minimal it is. I feel like I would wear this bracelet everyday and I could wear it alone, or layered with other bracelets. I’m considering purchasing this piece because I feel I can get a lot of wear out of it.

I’d definitely recommend Rocksbox if you’re into jewelry and easily get bored of your jewelry or want to try something new.
