I haven’t always been the biggest floral fan. But I fell in love with the shape of this dress, and the detailing, and totally looked past the floral. I’m easing my way into florals, I mean it’s spring now after all.

This dress has a very boho vibe, and it’s a little fancier than most dresses I go for. But I wanted to make it more ‘street style’ approved and understated, so I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of sneakers. I also love that the floral is darker, so it’s not over the top girly.

How to keep your florals edgy:

  1. Go darker- opt for darker or more muted florals, or black and white.
  2. Add an unexpected piece- whether it be an edgy jacket (like a leather moto or a bomber jacket), or an unexpected shoe- like sneakers orΒ  cool booties.
  3. Play with accessories- play with cool sunnies, and opt for jewelry like a mens-style watch, or chokers, also…a good neck scarf never hurt anyone πŸ˜‰
