My Everyday Makeup Products (Cruelty Free & affordable!)

Being 20 years old, my makeup has gone through some phases. I’ve been through the too pale foundation phase, the too orange foundation phase, the super-thin, not filled in eyebrow phase, and…the blue eye shadow phase. But now being 2o, I feel like I’ve really learned what makeup I like, what works for my skin type, and what makes me feel good.

My Makeup Style

I used to wear full-coverage foundation everyday. But nowadays I’m going the more natural and neutral route. I’ve really learned to love the skin I’m in, and just enhance my features with colors that suite me and doing the bare minimum. I know, it sounds cliche. I also make one of the priorities in my makeup to be cruelty free, which is easier than I thought.

You can probably tell I love neutral eye shadow. The Naked 2 palette has been my go-to for years, and I’ll definitely re-purchase when I get low. It travels with me, and I use at least one color out of it each day. My second favorite is this one I only recently picked up but LOVE. It’s the super affordable Milani neutrals palette. You’d be fooled that this palette is from the drugstore. The pigmentation is amazing and it’s pretty much all you need for an every day neutral eye.

On the daily basis I do a light shimmery lid color, light brown matte transition shade, and a dark shimmer crease color. For eyeliner, I go the softer and more natural route and use a matte black eye shadow and do a soft flick. Both black’s in these palettes are opaque and matte which is key.

It Cosmetics CC Cream $38
I’ll tell you I feel like I’ve tried every foundation under the sun. I have very oily skin, so every trip to the store to find a new foundation is a night mare. One night I came across the infomercial for the It Cosmetics CC Cream. I’ve heard about this product before and all of the great reviews but didn’t think it was for me. But this product is a dream. I actually stay matte, with the help of some powder, but the finish of this “foundation” is what I absolutely love. It doesn’t have a lot of coverage, but it mimics your skin and adds a “glow within” look. This CC Cream also has SPF and serums in it which a plus.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation $40
The other foundation is when I want to do full glam. I do use full-coverage on occasion, and the Urban Decay All Nighter has been my favorite for that coverage. A little goes a long with a ton of coverage, and that’s why I like this foundation for a glam look.

Ulta Full Coverage Concealer $9
The other key item in my foundation routine is my concealer. I used to do super light, full-coverage concealer, but I kind of like the light concealer where you can see a hint of my “real eyes” when my dark circles peek through. The Ulta Full Coverage concealer is great for spots, minimizing dark circles, while being super light weight.

Wet n Wild Blush (Pearlescent Pink) $3
The Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink blush has been a holy grail product since my middle school days. It’s a soft coral color with a glow. It has shimmer in it, but on the skin it just looks radiant. This shade is perfect for me because it’s the same color of my cheeks when I blush or when I just got done working out, and I like that it’s buildable.

-Sephora Bronzer (Los Cabos) $17
A second holy grail product is the Sephora brand bronzer in Los Cabos. This bronzer is actually neutral, not too ashy and not too orange, and it has great pigmentation. Perfect for a contour or just to warm up my complexion.

Jordana Highlighter (Pearl Glow) $5
The next 2 products are pretty new to my collection, but they are my g0-to’s. The new Jordana cream highlighter is amazing and the $5 price tag doesn’t hurt either. I’ve always been a powdered highlighter girl, until I tried this product. It’s so luminous and “dewy” looking but doesn’t leave me looking greasy or oily.

ELF Finish Hd Powder $6
Lastly, the product I cannot leave the house without wearing is a setting powder. This ELF setting powder smoothes pores, keeps me matte all day without looking powdery, and is light weight, which is what I’m always looking for

Sonia Kashuk Brush Set

Wet n Wild Mascara $4.99
I’ve never been the girl to spend over $10 or $12 for mascara. And when a mascara is as good as the Wet N Wild mascara you don’t need to spend the big bucks. I love big lashes just as much as the next girl, and this mascara gives me that. It separates and lifts and adds just the right amount of volume I need. I go for the waterproof version because I feel like it makes my lashes stay up longer.

Milani Stay Put Brow Color (Brunette) $7
Brows haven’t always been my thing, but now I feel like I look like a different person without my brows filled in. This Milani brow color is another new purchase, but will be sticking around. The texture is so soft and blendable and can really mimic brow hairs, it also stays put all day.

Wet n Wild brow gel $1.99
This product isn’t some miracle product, but it gets the job done. My brows have a mind of their own and I actually have to brush them out in the morning. This clear mascara helps them stay put, while not being stiff or flaking off. Another favorite brow gel is the Anastasia one, which is basically hairspray for your eye brows, but I prefer the price tag on this brow gel more.

Wet n Wild Lipstick (Bare it All) $1.99
I’m not a huge lipstick wearer, I’m more of a lip balm kind of girl. But this lipstick is my go-to when I just need that extra touch. It really is the “perfect nude” and it will last through a meal without smearing or wearing off.

Hope you enjoyed a look into my makeup routine! What’s your favorite go-to products or have you tried any of the products I mentioned? Let me know in the comments ♥
