Current Skincare Products 3.24.17

Skin Type: Normal oily

I’ve always tried to look after my skin since a young age. I’m kind of obsessed with using anti-aging products, which I don’t need, but I like to think help prevent aging. But, recently I’ve changed my products away from “just preventing wrinkles” and actually nourishing my skin.

Plus, all of my products are easy to find, affordable, easy, and cruelty-free!

Skincare Products

fullsizeoutput_53e2Face wash: Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Soap

I started using Dr. Bronner’s products about almost a year ago. It’s been the most effective face wash I’ve found. It gives me a deep clean, but it has oils in it so it doesn’t dry out my skin. It also removes all of my makeup at once, so it’s a super easy product to use.

Tip: I put the face wash in this soap dispenser, so it’s not as messy!

Plus, be careful to not get this soap in your eyes. It will feel like you’re going blind. But it’s great for the face!

Toner: Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner
I know there is ton of talk about glycolic acid and wrinkle prevention. I use it a little for that, but I love how this toner makes my skin feel rejuvenated,Β and plumps my skin. But, most importantly it helps with blackheads and I’ve definitely noticed a difference with my skins texture. My skin can handle a lot, and this toner might be a lot for sensitive skin, so use lightly and do some research before you start using it.

Eye Makeup Remover: Botanics eye makeup remover
I hate having to tug and rub my eyes to get waterproof mascara off. This eye makeup remover, is gentle and I don’t have to sit there for 5 minutes trying to get my eye makeup off.

You’ll notice in my skincare I use a lot of oils, and I have oily skin. But, for some scientific reason, oil helps combat the already existing oil on my skin. I notice when I skip a day of using my face oil that I’m noticeably greasy the next day and my skin looks dull. When I use my oil at night, I wake up, wash it off and my skin is plump and radiant, but not greasy and it stays like that throughout the day.

Face Oil: Shea Moisture Argan Oil $10
I use this oil mainly at night just so it has time to soak into my skin.

Tip: It also works great for the ends of my hair to keep them healthy looking!
Eye Cream: Pacifica Dream Youth Day & Night Cream $16
This cream isn’t an actual “eye cream” but I felt like a lot of eye creams were too heavy for me. This light cream I can use day or night under my eyes, and it just gives them a nice glow along with hydration.
Suncreen: Supergoop sunscreen oil $12
I’ll be honest, I’m not a regular sunscreen wearer on my body, and I really want to make a habit of applying it daily. I do make sure I apply sunscreen to my face daily. This Supergoop suncreen, even though it’s an oil, it’s not heavy or greasy. And most importantly…IT DOESN’T BREAK ME OUT!

Here’s alsoΒ some of my favorite cruelty-free hygiene products:

Deodorant: Crystal Essence
Toothpaste: Tom’s
Body Wash: Method
