Yellow is obviously one of the “it” colors of the season and for good reason.

Yellow is such a cheery color while still being light and not too in your face. I love this pop of yellow paired with white for a fresh feel.

You might be thinking, ‘Laura, it’s almost 100 degrees outside and you’re wearing a sweater??’. Well…yes. I scooped this vintage Ralph Lauren top up and it’s surprisingly light for a knit and I just couldn’t resist this top with all the cool zipper and button detailing.

Everything Vintage

I’ve been on a vintage kick lately. I love looking for pieces that are perfectly vintage inspired or true vintage pieces. Well, I found the perfect vintage dress if I do say so!

There’s this one antique store downtown that I always find my vintage bags at, like the one in this post, and last weekend I popped in. The one booth I always check out had this little dress just hanging there. I scored this dress for $22! I got home and tried the dress on and it fit so perfectly.

Not sure when this dress was made, there’s no tags, and the seams on the inside look like it could possibly be homemade. It is made of super great quality which is what I love about vintage pieces. The pleats are such a sweet touch and the gold buttons are the perfect classic touch.

The only non-vintage pieces of this look is the jewelry and sunglasses, but the’re the perfect tie-in to this look!

I do about 95% of my clothes shopping online. I get super stressed and overwhelmed trying to shop in an actual store. And I also like the convenience of laying in my bed while shopping. A lot of people ask me how I shop online and my clothes always fit me, while most of the time they do, sometimes they don’t. Like in today’s outfit…

I’ve been searching since last year for a great cropped white jean that wasn’t super expensive. Well, I ordered this pair off of Zara and on the model they were the perfect cropped pant. The model was 5’10 and being 5’7 I thought the length wouldn’t be too much different. I was a little off.

Some of you might think this was a fail and I should return them, but I actually like the fit of them a lot. Even though the pants weren’t cropped like originally anticipated, I think they’re cool and are a look in and of themselves. I’m going to keep them and style them some different ways, they ended up being the perfect modern mom jean, which is super on trend!

I’m loving the subtle extra-ness of this look. The oversized buttons with the exaggerated pants is unexpected but still simple.

Roman holiday

If you keep up with blogger than you would know that the fabulous Chriselle Lim collaborated with one of my favorite brands JOA and it’s such a good collaboration! There were so many pieces that I wanted to pick, but I ended up going for this yellow little number.

Something you probably don’t know about me is that I’ve been obsessed with Audrey Hepburn for as long as I can remember. In Chriselle’s video of her collection, she goes over the inspiration behind the collection and each piece and it’s so up my alley. Like she said this dress is the perfect combo of classic and vintage and the Roman gold color throughout the line is classy and also fun. The perfect pop of color for spring!

A flouncy and airy dress just screams spring! There’s just something about wearing a flowy dress with the weather perfectly warm and a nice breeze, it’s the little things that can boost my mood!

What first attracted me to this dress was the beautiful sage color. It’s such a muted but feminine color and it pairs perfectly with the girliness of the ruffles.

The neutral shoes and bag bring out the effortless and “natural” feel of the dress.

The button-detailing adds the perfect vintage-y touch to this dress!

I love this dress dressed up with heels but I can’t wait to wear this dress with some white sneakers as well for a more casual look.

Wooden Watches for Spring [The New Unique Watch Style]

A watch is the ultimate classic accessory. Watches will never go out of style and will always bring even the simplest outfit together, no matter what season. Even though watches are classic, I like to always update my collection with new unique watches. I like a minimalist feel with an unexpected and unique touch to my watches. I wear a watch every day and it’s the cherry on top of every outfit, no matter how trendy or casual the look.

Wooden Watches: the new classic accessory

Ever since I started my “collection” of watches, I’ve always looked for new ones to add to it to give my collection an updated feel every once in a while. My collection ranges in sizes, or from a leather strap or metal, but one style I’ve never had are wooden watches. When JORD approached me to collab with them, I loved the idea of trying out a watch style that I’ve never had before. I never thought a watch could be made of wood or how that would look, but JORD has done an amazing job at creating this modern, yet still classic, style of women’s watches, don’t worry they also make awesome men’s watches as well. The wood finish, while being unique, is very minimal and sleek. I especially love the Frankie watch I picked out because I loved the oversized masculine feel it gives along with the color combo. The rich emerald face gives this watch a super luxe feel while the dark sandalwood adds a more casual look.

Watches: The Ultimate Personalized Gift

My husband and I both love collecting watches, and each of our watches have their own story and they are all so special to use. Since we started dating we have exchanged watches as gifts for birthdays, Christmas, and anniversaries. Watches are such an easy and classic gift no one would want to pass up. They are also a very personalized and thoughtful gift to give because it shows the person receiving the watch that you took the time to think of a style that they would love.

For me and Mason’s first Christmas I bought him a watch and got it engraved with his initials. Every time he puts it on, he glances at it and thinks of the sweet personalized touch and thought that was put into the gift. I love that JORD offers engraving on their watches because it makes it so convenient to have the engraving already done when the watch arrives. Engraving just gives that simple added touch and makes the gift even more special and memorable. With JORD, not only can you personalize with engraving on the watch but you can also add a special note to the cedar box the beautiful watch arrives in. You could add their favorite song lyrics, and special date (like an anniversary), or just a thoughtful saying. fullsizeoutput_74a4
