Laura Loves: Volume 1

Welcome to a new series I’m starting! This is going to be sort of a monthly favorites that I’m going to attempt to do each month (we’ll see). These are the things I’m loving that you’ll see on my Instagram and some not on my Instagram.

YSL Lipstick in ‘Beige Tribute’– such a beautiful nude everyday color and I love the personal touch of the engraving. I asked for this from my husband for Christmas and I’m so in love just looking at the tube. My idea is that I’ll have this engraved cap for ever and one day give it to my granddaughter as a keepsake. I like to think of things way into the future, call me crazy!

Frasier Sterling Custom Name Necklace- I swear I’m not obsessed with myself, I’ve just been loving personalized pieces. This necklace is such good quality and the perfect layering piece, and name necklaces give that throwback-to-the90s feel to a look, especially when it’s a choker.

Quay ‘Rumors’ Sunglasses– you can never go wrong with a classic pair of sunnies! They add such a sassy and sleek look to any outfit.

Disco Kitten Diamond Peel Mask– let me tell you, this mask does it all. Not only is this mask super shiny and metallic but because it’s a peel off mask, it pulls out all the gunk and leaves you with bright and refreshed skin.

Urban Outfitters Slippers– so cozy and chic and make being at home just a little more relaxing! May even try to wear them with a look….if I’m brave enough.

AllSaints Ray Small Bucket Bag: my newest addition to my collection. This bag is the perfect size and nude color that will go with anything no matter what season.

Diffuser + Essential Oils– I’m kind of late to the game but I’m officially a diffuser and essential oils convert. Mason and I love to wind down at night using our diffuser. It’s so relaxing and makes our home smell so good. Also, I might be a little crazy but, we have a 7 month old dog who is very hyper and once we start diffusing lemongrass, she instantly calms down. I’ve also been having some stomach issues lately and just by rubbing a tiny bit of peppermint on my tummy in a matter of seconds by stomach feels better. Also, I love this little diffuser because it’s a super simple design and blends in very well.

Threshold Gold Silverware– Target can do no wrong. I picked up 2 sets of these gold silverware pieces because they look so expensive and make dinner time feel a little more special. Plus, they’re only $2 a piece!

My Everyday Makeup Products (Cruelty Free & affordable!)

Being 20 years old, my makeup has gone through some phases. I’ve been through the too pale foundation phase, the too orange foundation phase, the super-thin, not filled in eyebrow phase, and…the blue eye shadow phase. But now being 2o, I feel like I’ve really learned what makeup I like, what works for my skin type, and what makes me feel good.

My Makeup Style

I used to wear full-coverage foundation everyday. But nowadays I’m going the more natural and neutral route. I’ve really learned to love the skin I’m in, and just enhance my features with colors that suite me and doing the bare minimum. I know, it sounds cliche. I also make one of the priorities in my makeup to be cruelty free, which is easier than I thought.

You can probably tell I love neutral eye shadow. The Naked 2 palette has been my go-to for years, and I’ll definitely re-purchase when I get low. It travels with me, and I use at least one color out of it each day. My second favorite is this one I only recently picked up but LOVE. It’s the super affordable Milani neutrals palette. You’d be fooled that this palette is from the drugstore. The pigmentation is amazing and it’s pretty much all you need for an every day neutral eye.

On the daily basis I do a light shimmery lid color, light brown matte transition shade, and a dark shimmer crease color. For eyeliner, I go the softer and more natural route and use a matte black eye shadow and do a soft flick. Both black’s in these palettes are opaque and matte which is key.

It Cosmetics CC Cream $38
I’ll tell you I feel like I’ve tried every foundation under the sun. I have very oily skin, so every trip to the store to find a new foundation is a night mare. One night I came across the infomercial for the It Cosmetics CC Cream. I’ve heard about this product before and all of the great reviews but didn’t think it was for me. But this product is a dream. I actually stay matte, with the help of some powder, but the finish of this “foundation” is what I absolutely love. It doesn’t have a lot of coverage, but it mimics your skin and adds a “glow within” look. This CC Cream also has SPF and serums in it which a plus.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation $40
The other foundation is when I want to do full glam. I do use full-coverage on occasion, and the Urban Decay All Nighter has been my favorite for that coverage. A little goes a long with a ton of coverage, and that’s why I like this foundation for a glam look.

Ulta Full Coverage Concealer $9
The other key item in my foundation routine is my concealer. I used to do super light, full-coverage concealer, but I kind of like the light concealer where you can see a hint of my “real eyes” when my dark circles peek through. The Ulta Full Coverage concealer is great for spots, minimizing dark circles, while being super light weight.

Wet n Wild Blush (Pearlescent Pink) $3
The Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink blush has been a holy grail product since my middle school days. It’s a soft coral color with a glow. It has shimmer in it, but on the skin it just looks radiant. This shade is perfect for me because it’s the same color of my cheeks when I blush or when I just got done working out, and I like that it’s buildable.

-Sephora Bronzer (Los Cabos) $17
A second holy grail product is the Sephora brand bronzer in Los Cabos. This bronzer is actually neutral, not too ashy and not too orange, and it has great pigmentation. Perfect for a contour or just to warm up my complexion.

Jordana Highlighter (Pearl Glow) $5
The next 2 products are pretty new to my collection, but they are my g0-to’s. The new Jordana cream highlighter is amazing and the $5 price tag doesn’t hurt either. I’ve always been a powdered highlighter girl, until I tried this product. It’s so luminous and “dewy” looking but doesn’t leave me looking greasy or oily.

ELF Finish Hd Powder $6
Lastly, the product I cannot leave the house without wearing is a setting powder. This ELF setting powder smoothes pores, keeps me matte all day without looking powdery, and is light weight, which is what I’m always looking for

Sonia Kashuk Brush Set

Wet n Wild Mascara $4.99
I’ve never been the girl to spend over $10 or $12 for mascara. And when a mascara is as good as the Wet N Wild mascara you don’t need to spend the big bucks. I love big lashes just as much as the next girl, and this mascara gives me that. It separates and lifts and adds just the right amount of volume I need. I go for the waterproof version because I feel like it makes my lashes stay up longer.

Milani Stay Put Brow Color (Brunette) $7
Brows haven’t always been my thing, but now I feel like I look like a different person without my brows filled in. This Milani brow color is another new purchase, but will be sticking around. The texture is so soft and blendable and can really mimic brow hairs, it also stays put all day.

Wet n Wild brow gel $1.99
This product isn’t some miracle product, but it gets the job done. My brows have a mind of their own and I actually have to brush them out in the morning. This clear mascara helps them stay put, while not being stiff or flaking off. Another favorite brow gel is the Anastasia one, which is basically hairspray for your eye brows, but I prefer the price tag on this brow gel more.

Wet n Wild Lipstick (Bare it All) $1.99
I’m not a huge lipstick wearer, I’m more of a lip balm kind of girl. But this lipstick is my go-to when I just need that extra touch. It really is the “perfect nude” and it will last through a meal without smearing or wearing off.

Hope you enjoyed a look into my makeup routine! What’s your favorite go-to products or have you tried any of the products I mentioned? Let me know in the comments ♥

The 4th of July is finally here! Today’s outfit is perfect for just relaxing and having fun! This look is dressier than just a regular pair of jeans shorts and tee, and I always have to have some kind of heel or wedge (but these sandals are super comfortable!). I hope you have a great day with friends and family!

The overalls are back in town! Terribly lame? Probably. I kind of strayed away from my overalls for a little bit, but was recently re-inspired to pull these bad boys back out! They are honestly so simple to style and are perfect for those days, where I’m just having to throw things on and not having the chance to plan and outfit! I’m always looking for new ways to spice up the basic white tee and overalls are one of my favorite ways to do so!

If you enjoyed this look, hype it on LOOKBOOK
