I do about 95% of my clothes shopping online. I get super stressed and overwhelmed trying to shop in an actual store. And I also like the convenience of laying in my bed while shopping. A lot of people ask me how I shop online and my clothes always fit me, while most of the time they do, sometimes they don’t. Like in today’s outfit…
I’ve been searching since last year for a great cropped white jean that wasn’t super expensive. Well, I ordered this pair off of Zara and on the model they were the perfect cropped pant. The model was 5’10 and being 5’7 I thought the length wouldn’t be too much different. I was a little off.
Some of you might think this was a fail and I should return them, but I actually like the fit of them a lot. Even though the pants weren’t cropped like originally anticipated, I think they’re cool and are a look in and of themselves. I’m going to keep them and style them some different ways, they ended up being the perfect modern mom jean, which is super on trend!
I’m loving the subtle extra-ness of this look. The oversized buttons with the exaggerated pants is unexpected but still simple.
I love this photo because my purse has a little smiley face on it 🙂

Hello….spring is already here. Any one else super taken aback by this??
To welcome the new season, I’m jumping into my springiest outfit I have right now!
I’m in love with this WhoWhatWear jumpsuit from their spring line, it’s got such a girly 50s housewife kind of vibe to it, while still taking on an up-to-date style.
I love the black accents on this jumpsuit, it adds a very chic touch and the accessories tie in perfectly with it. I added a bit of brightness with my white floral bag and new Charles & Keith light pink heels! I’ve been obsessed with stalking the Charles & Keith website. I can’t wait to purchase more shoes from them. All of their shoes are so on point with the current shoe trends while putting their own twist into them. You’ll be so surprised by the price on their shoes, because they’re such amazing quality and are so unique without breaking the bank!

I’ve lived in a small town in Southwest Louisiana for about 9 years now. I’ve gone through waves of hating living in a small town to now calling this small town most likely my forever home.
Since starting my blog almost 4 years ago (I think that’s what we’re at now…I’ve lost track), my little town has evolved so much and is continuing to do so. From meeting like minded individuals to supporting different “brands” in town, it’s cool seeing people putting themselves on the map of fashion, photography, art, etc.
Even though I keep to myself and I’m not a very social person, I love to support people when I can. A good friend of ours, Clark (the guy that shot our wedding video) recently came out with an awesome clothing line. It’s so cool to see someone have a vision and bring it to life, even in a small town with not many “resources”. He knocked it out of the park with the launch of this line and makes me even more proud to live in a town that is showing more creativity.
I don’t know about any of you that have lived in a small town, but I feel that everyone goes through the waves of wanting to get out, in some type of way. Now, I’m not saying I live in a town with a population of 500 where there’s absolutely nothing, but it would be considered a small town. In high school I always dreamed of moving and getting out the town where everyone knew your name and knew everything about you, or so it seemed.
I thought if I stayed in this town I wouldn’t ever make anything of myself. After high school, when I decided not to go to college and focus on what I wanted to do, it became more and more prevalent that it wasn’t the town holding me back, but myself thinking the town was holding me back. After realizing this is where I’m supposed to stay and build my family and my life, I became more content with the diversity of my fashion and my outlook. Yeah, I may get weird looks when I’m shooting looks downtown, but what have I got to lose? And maybe those people aren’t looking at me in disapprovement but rather in curiosity. I do my own thing because it makes me happy and hopefully shows other people it’s okay to be different and it’s okay to live in a small town with big dreams. You’re the only one holding yourself back.

You know those pieces that you think would look great for an event or for an outfit after it’s happened? That’s what I thought now that Christmas is well passed and I didn’t wear this top. It would’ve been the perfect Christmas top, but now it’s making its appearance as an edgy January look.
A little background of this look, and also the one before. A couple of weeks ago I planned to shoot this look and the look that was posted before this one after church. I had tried on the looks and put them in my car to shoot. Then Mason and I went downtown to shoot and we tried to shoot BOTH looks but they both turned out awful. Ever have those outfits that look good at home and terrible in the outside world? These were those.
I had some flowy pants with this look that ended up just making me look like a clown. I went home and totally changed the look, and this outfit came out to be one of my new favorite outfits. Buuuut, then I realized I probably should’ve tied the fabric behind me. Hey, it’s a new look and I made it my own.
Speaking of this top, I always love an “updated” classic top. I don’t consider myself sexy at all, but the bustier built-into the top gives a sexy and edgy feel to a classic top. Alpha & Omega has been one of my favorite new brands, new to me at least. They do such fun and chic pieces, always looking for my next piece to buy from them.
I threw on my chunky combat boots to add to that rough look and my leather jacket was a no brainer for this look.

I’m going to take a moment and appreciate the 65 degree weather today in Louisiana. It doesn’t happen often.
Light layering is a necessity during this time. I added a sleeveless turtleneck under this moody floral dress from Tobi to add some coverage and give it a cozier feel. I added a light colored bag and boots, to keep the look fresh while it’s still that transitional weather. I also added these statement fringe earrings and oval sunnies to give the floral dress a vintage vibe.

To be honest, I usually don’t gravitate towards pieces that show off my shoulders a lot. I feel like I’m basically naked. But there’s something sexy but also dainty about showing off a strong shoulder. This top is super flattering and chic with it’s waist and wrist ties and of course the angled neckline makes a subtle statement.
I decided to do a bun in my hair (which I never do) with this look because 1) it opens up the neckline and makes for a sleek look, and it shows off the large and in charge earrings and 2) because my hair is finally long enough to be put into a bun, granted it took 3 hair ties to get it this way.
I added my white floral bag with these mules I scored for $13 at Forever 21 with the look to mix together a more summer-y piece with the mahogany colored shoe for the perfect transitional look.
Shein decided to collab with me and I could pick any piece I wanted. I’ve seen them on Instagram so many times, but never took the plunge to try their clothing. I’ll tell you that I was very satisfied with this top and the other selections they have. This top feels very well made and the sizing was true-to-size, which is hard to get and can be tricky when ordering online. I can’t wait to search their site again and grab some cool fall pieces!
